The energy subsea construction vessel REM Ocean has arrived in Norway from Vietnam to undergo outfitting and completion, Offshore Energy reported. The vessel was delivered from the hull yard at the Song Cam shipyard in Vietnam on June 15. [1]

The tow of the vessel started from the Hai Phong area two days after its delivery from the Song Cam shipyard. Offshore Energy reported that the vessel proceeded via Singapore on its journey toward Europe. [1]

Final outfitting will take place at the Myklebust shipyard in Norway. According to Offshore Energy, workers at the facility will equip REM Ocean with all major systems and mission equipment. [1]

The vessel is methanol-ready, being built for Rem Offshore, and will remain in the company's ownership. Once delivered in 2027, the vessel will enter an eight-year contract with DeepOcean. Offshore Energy reported that the contract will run until 2035 to provide subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair services for Equinor. [1]
