United States consumers are carrying the largest burden of global fuel inflation caused by war in the Middle East, Oilprice reported. Data from the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air shows American consumers account for 160 billion dollars of the total global increase. [1]

The Finnish energy and climate research outlet estimates that total global fuel inflation has reached 468 billion dollars since the conflict began. According to Oilprice, the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air reported that Americans are paying the highest total amount globally. [1]

The research organisation also determined that United States residents face the highest additional fuel costs on a per-capita basis. Global benchmark oil prices such as West Texas Intermediate, Brent Crude, and Dubai Crude are determined by global supply and demand dynamics. [1][3]
