Six Flags Magic Mountain has completed a 12.37-megawatt solar installation on its parking lots in Valencia, California, Electrek reported. The project is California's largest solar carport and ranks among the largest single-site commercial solar carport developments in the United States. [1]

The new facility is expected to generate enough electricity every year to offset the total annual power use of both Six Flags Magic Mountain and the neighboring Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles park, according to Electrek. In addition to clean electricity generation, the structure provides shade for parked vehicles and offers electric vehicle charging stations. [1]

The theme park operator merged with Cedar Fair Entertainment Company on July 1, 2024, creating a unified company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The business operates amusement parks across the United States under the unified Six Flags brand. [7]
