Chinese vehicle manufacturer BYD reached a manufacturing milestone this week by producing its 150,000th commercial new energy vehicle, Electrek and CnEVPost reported. The milestone vehicle was a Q3 battery-electric semi truck built at the company plant in Huai'an, located in Jiangsu province. [1][2][3]

Electrek reported that the Q3 battery-electric semi truck features an 800-horsepower powertrain. BYD is expanding its commercial vehicle operations following years of development in its passenger car and battery divisions. [1]
